setting：A young Chinses farmer went to America in search of his father,who had earlier sailed the ocean to seek fortune during the 19th century.
Atmosphere:The farmer worked at the railway and never gave up looking for his father.It was harsh work.The workers suffered extreme hard labor,hunger,cold and cruel treatment of their white bosses.
characters:The young man was strong,determined and courageous.His father died in a dynamite blast but his ghost never rested in peace.The ghost wandered around the mountains where he and his coworkers died,until his son came and made them rest.
theme:Life is a journey of unexpectedness.Poor people struggle.Rich people deprive.It was family love and yearning for a better future that push the poor people tread along despite life threat and humiliation.
