Two factors weigh heavily against effectiveness of scienticfic research in indusrty.
One is the general atmosphere of secrecy in which it is carried out,the other the lack of freedom of the individual research worker.
主要就是这里in which it is carried out,请问其中的which和it分别是指什么?
我的理解是which 指industry,而it 指atmosphere.和一个朋友争论了一下,她认为which 指secrecy,理由是in which it is carried out这句话是定语从句,which就正好跟在先行词的后面.但我认为从句意上面分析,我认为我的是正确的.

或 secrecy
还是general atmosphere of secrecy
我认为secrecy是先行词

可能会有两种意思.
